On day 2, we will drop you off (at the same pick up point) at approximately 6:00pm after a weekend of sun, surf and fun.

We will provide you with a wetsuit and surfboard to use for each surf lesson. For those who have never surfed or who have only surfed a handful of times, we use our beginner specific soft boards making it easy to catch waves and stand up. As you progress through your lessons, the coach may move you onto different boards and you may even find yourself riding a regular 'hard' board by the end of the camp. For those who have surfed before and have an understanding of how to catch waves and handle a board in crowded conditions, we offer regular epoxy or fibreglass boards.

We use 4:3mm wetsuits that are well maintained and are sure to keep you warm for the duration of each 2-hour session. These surf camps are great for any visitor to the Mother City. They are also perfectly designed for party ideas and can make a great adventure for any team build or even a unique bachelorette or bachelors weekend. It’s all about sharing in the 'stoke'.

Day 1: Saturday
We’ll pick you up from the city and transfer you to Strand beach, there you’ll do lesson #1. During this lesson you will be taken through the very basics of ocean awareness, safety, how to paddle and catch a wave and finally how to stand up on the board. We will then follow the coastal road to the picturesque Kalk Bay harbor where we’ll enjoy lunch at a true local fish ‘n chip café (other food options also available in the area if you prefer). We’ll take a walk along the harbor wall amongst the fishermen where there is a chance to spots seals swimming amongst the colourful boats.
We’ll then head to a wine farm to taste the local wines whilst enjoying the views. We will drive along the impressive Chapmans Peak to enjoy sunset from the viewpoint before heading back to our accommodation in Muizenberg. There we will enjoy dinner together whilst watching a slide show of the day’s surfing photos and a surf movie. You have the rest of the evening to relax or enjoy the Muizenberg nightlife.
Day 2: Sunday
We start off the morning early with an optional yoga class at 07:30am. After breakfast we commence with lesson #2 where you may find yourself riding a wave all the way to the sand. We will grab a take out lunch from the best local café where you then have the opportunity to relax and catch some rays.
After the midday break, we will continue with lesson #3, where you’ll begin to feel more comfortable with directional changes in the ‘foamies’ and understand what the ‘surf check’ is all about.
We will then transfer you back to Cape Town truly ‘stoked’ like a local.
Please note: As the tides, wind and swell conditions may affect our lessons, we may need to swap the lessons, locations and activities around in order to offer the best experience. We therefore ask that participants remain flexible should the itinerary not be in the exact order listed and trust our discernment should schedule changes be made.
